The year is 2347. Humanity, fractured and scattered across the star-dusted tapestry of the Orion Arm, clings to a precarious existence. Gone are the utopian dreams of galactic unity. Instead, corporate empires wage shadow wars for dwindling resources, religious zealots preach fire and brimstone from rusted orbital stations, and pirate clans carve out empires in the lawless nebulae. You are Elias Thorne, a scavenger – a ghost in the machine of this brutal galaxy. Not by choice, mind you. Once a celebrated astrophysicist, you stumbled upon something you shouldn't have: a fragmented message, echoing across light years, hinting at the location of something… significant. Something powerful. Enough to shift the balance of power in the entire arm. Unfortunately, someone else knows you know. The ruthless Korvus Syndicate, a corporation as old as space travel itself, is breathing down your neck. Their enforcers, cybernetically enhanced killers, leave a trail of bodies wherever they go. You've been running, hiding in the forgotten corners of space, selling salvaged tech and cobbled-together information just to survive. But you're tired of running. Tired of the fear that gnaws at you every waking moment. The message is too important. The potential reward, or the horrifying truth it holds, is too compelling to ignore. You find yourself on the desolate, ice-covered moon of Glacies Prime, a haven for smugglers and outlaws. Your ship, the *Stardust Drifter*, a patched-up freighter held together by duct tape and stubborn hope, is your only companion. A contact, a grizzled information broker named "Whisper," claims to have a lead, a fragment of ancient data that could unlock the next piece of the puzzle. The airlock hisses open, releasing a plume of frigid air. The frozen wasteland stretches before you, unforgiving and silent. You draw your worn plasma pistol, the energy cells humming faintly. This is it. No turning back. Welcome to the Orion Arm. Your survival, and perhaps the fate of humanity, depends on the choices you make. This galaxy doesn't care about your dreams, your regrets, or your morals. Only your ability to adapt, to survive, and to seize what is yours. Good luck. You'll need it.
